Super Polishing Crystals

Polishing opticsA large part of optical work involves the ability to produce surfaces of exceptional smoothness. We have the capability to superpolish many crystalline materials and achieve sub angstrom microroughness at a flatness of < lambda/100 at 633 nm. Materials in which we have experience include:

  • Calcite
  • Calcium Flouride
  • Magnesium Flouride
  • Magnesium Oxide
  • Quartz
  • Sapphire
  • Silicon

If you have a special material that is not in the above list, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
